WHAT A START TO THE NEW YEAR
This week has been, well, let’s say – interesting. And so, if like me you are now in the process of juggling homeschooling and trying to run and grow a business during a global pandemic and if you live in the UK particularly, you’ll understand what I mean!
My almost 5-year-old son had one day back of his second-ever school term and now he’ll be home, it looks likely until at least March. For our little family, therefore, the unknown is ahead and for the first time I think I now truly understand the term ‘the juggle is real’. It’s typical that for me it would fall in what would have been my biggest month ever. That said, however, the enforced break and the (almost achieved) social media hiatus over the Christmas period did teach me a few things, one being that..
I can stop, I can take a break, (social media or otherwise) and the world won’t come crashing down around me.
THERE’S ONLY ONE OF ME
Instead, like many, for me, it’s now about priorities and time management and being kind to myself during this strange season. That is probably the only way to get through it and out of the other side in one piece whilst maintaining some kind of calm at home 😉
So, if you’re feeling the same, then don’t be alone. Make sure you take time for yourself amongst all of the crazy hours of the day. Reach out and ask for help where you can and I for one am always here to chat if you need to let off some steam!

DO YOU NEED A NEW YEAR CLEAN UP?
Pinterest accounts need a clean-up just like the house after the Christmas festivities. Fresh, focussed and ready to tackle the year ahead!
Here are a few tips to help you do this:
- Firstly, do you really need all of those personal boards on your account? Switch to a business account and hide the personal ones OR set up a business account from scratch and keep them totally separate.
Start as you mean to go on.
- Spend some time doing your keyword research as this will determine so much of what you do moving forward, and your success.
You can learn more about prioritising and cleaning up your boards and your account in my latest quick-read blog post HERE.
